I work with all types of metals and they have never made a stainless product that won't leave fingerprints on it. But anyone who owns stainless steel appliances and has kids knows what I mean.
Sharp looks. Great toaster.
It's Stainless Steel and it marks. Toasts evenly.
One bad thing with it. It's a pain to keep clean that is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.
If you don't like cleaning fingerprints off then I would recommend not getting this toaster.
I recently purchased the 4-slice toaster and reallylike it. It is fast and I especially like thefeature where you can toast only one side such asbun or bagel.
This looks very nice with all the other new appliances, and I like the bagel button. I purchased this because we replaced our stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher in December. I wanted a toaster to match. It's a very handy feature.The one drawback is that the trays pull out from the back; this means I have to turn the toaster all the way around to empty the trays. It would have been much more convenient if the trays could be pulled out from the front.
If for some reason we need to have more heat we'll have to put it down again. This KitchenAid KMTT400SS toaster looks like a solid, quality appliance and acts like one. A minor problem but why have a heat control if the top setting is the only one you use. We've had the toaster for about one month now and have tried many different kinds of bread and bagels in it and they've all come out well toasted. The only drawback seems t be that the heat control has to be at the max setting to get these results. The only remaining question is what kind of reliability we'll get out of this appliance. From our experience this toaster is well worth a try.
;-)One last thing. I bought this toaster as a Christmas present for my wife who is always complaining that our toaster didn't toast evenly, burning one side and hardly toasting the other. It is a space hog. She toasts english muffins, waffles and bread daily for our kids. So far after about 3 weeks of use, this toaster has made my wife happy, which is almost like getting a Christmas present for myself. If that is a concern, get your tape measure out before you buy one. It is BIG.
